Cream Product and Cream Foundation Application Tips We know you’re going to love your new natural organic mineral cream concealer/foundation products. We’d like you to remember they are high in essential skin absorbing oils and mineral pigment powder, so that a little goes a long way. Natural cream products are capable of absorbing into your skin as all our natural skin care products do. The pigments will sit on the upper most layer giving your skin have a flawless appearance when applied appropriately. Products needed to achieve flawless coverage RAESIN IMAGES Cream Foundation and/or Concealer Foundation Brush or Sponge RAESIN IMAGES Setting Powder or Veil Flocked sponge Face Dusting Powder Brush
Proper application starts with either a good taklon foundation brush, concealer brush, or sponge. We do not suggest using the cheap non-latex triangle sponges found in Walmart of other dime stores. These sponges contain hard pieces of non natural materials that do cause severe skin abrasion or cuts. (I personally have experienced this, finding a small piece of glass source in the middle of one of these sponges and it resulted in a severe slice to my facial skin. I am sure several of you have experienced the same with these sponges, as this wasn’t the first time I felt something scratchy within the material.) 1. Brush or swirl your applicator across the top of your mineral cream product, a little is all that’s needed to start with. Apply to face in a round and out method as you would with any foundation product. If you have too much product then continue distributing it over your facial skin. Cream products are not dry, they contain essential oils so they do not look like the new conventional blends, that are all silicone derived, and appear to smooth onto skin. They do feel smooth but because of the high content of silicones, they sit on the top layer of skin and easily wipe off. Stay away from the Color Stay, Double Matte, and similar products, they may be made to adhere but they are made with similar ingredients as Latex House Paint, it’s why they stay on, not to mention they are sealed onto your skin and your skin can’t breath which can cause it to have severe breakouts leading to acne scarring. I’ll also mention that lipsticks that have the two way application and seal on your lips are also these same paint product blends. 2. When applying concealer, tap on, or stipple, do not wipe the brush across your skin, or you’re defeating the purpose of concealing. I use concealer either first or last, depending on what I’m trying to achieve in my models and clients. 3. When you feel you have the coverage you want, as our products have buildable coverage, and then finish your foundation as you would with any foundation, with a nice dusting of either our setting powder or veils. This sets your product, while adding a nice smooth totally matte finish. 4. When you’re ready to take off your mineral creams, remember they are naturally oil based, and any of our creamy cleansers will work perfectly, and are entirely safe to use in your eye area.
