And the deal is in the work as Smashbox Cosmetics falls far in the cosmetic market since buying products from China instead of their previous vendor, but Estee Lauder Cosmetics views this as a cheap way to purchase the Smashbox makeup company and get it back on track.

Smashbox Cosmetics is/was formally known as the makeup artist company, but after working with QVC and changing the ingredients as well as manufacturer of their makeup the company came in with horrid reviews from consumers, QVC forum members as well as makeup review websites.

The sellout of Smashbox Cosmetics to Estee Lauder was just released a few hours ago and has hit the main stream with Reuters.  The deal which is expected to close in July is still subject to regulatory approvals.

Smashbox Cosmetics was founded by two of Max Factors great-grandsons in 1996.  The makeup brand itself is strong in North American.

MAC Cosmetics is supposedly Smashbox’s closest competitor, but most makeup users and makuep artists know there isn’t a comparison between the brands, Smashbox is low end with high dollar products, where MAC Cosmetics is always sought out by makeup artists, makeup users, and anyone needing makeup with high pigment all day wear and affordable pricing for all ages.

MAC which is also owned by Estee Lauder, executives offered that by adding the Smashbox Cosmetics line they see a similar growth trajectory under their ownership.

MAC Cosmetics had sales near $100 million when Estee Lauder took over ownership and has grown to an over $1 billion business, said  President John Demsey of Estee Lauder Group said.

After Leslie Blodgett, sold out her US  based Bare Minerals brand due to declining sales, stock fraud, unethical labor procedures, the well known, 140 plus years in business Shiseido Co. purchased BE for the small sum of $1.7 billion.  Ms. Blodgett is quoted as saying, “Going into Japan is a challenge.  We want to introduce to them a natural approach to makeup. And we have already seen that women are embracing that. It always starts small and through word-of-mouth.”

Bare Minerals will be a hard sell to the women of Asia, especially Japanese women that prefer skin lightening products, and convention cosmetics.  “We don’t like tan skin, and I can’t see ever using Bare Minerals products since their foundations are all to dark and too Westernized” said one cosmetic consumer polled.

Shiseido is depending on the Bare Escentuals Bare Minerals brand to offer them more recognition in International Cosmetics Marketplaces online and within department stores.

As of recent the Shu Uemura Makeup Brand line has not generated the prospective cosmetic sales it hoped to seek within the U.S. market.

Shu Uemura’s most well known and talked about makeup product was the eye lash curler that most makeup artists carry in their makeup cases.

Posted on other makeup blogs are reasons why US citizens do not appreciate the Japanese beauty when that information is non-sense, that Shu Uemura had high color trend products that had to compete with Makeup Brands Like MAC Cosmetics, which offered lower pricing and boutiques in more suitable stores for women that love makeup of color and trends.  ”

The Examiner Makeup and Mineral Makeup News

If the best mineral makeup brand were easy to find, or if consumers all thought one makeup brand was the best, than there wouldn’t be a need for so many makeup or mineral makeup brands, right?  Um… no. It’s just not that simple, so we’re here to help you find the best mineral makeup information and resources websites.

First is the new Mineral Makeup News website and makeup brands reviews blog.  We’re not sure where their original blog was, but we know their new one is updated often, and makeup companies, mineral makeup companies etc that email them add their information and sales, so this is a handy website.

Makeup News is a relatively new website but their Makeup and Cosmetics News Twitter posts are up to the minute with makeup and cosmetics brands news from around the globe.  Some companies I’d never heard of but they have it all.

Mineral Makeup Reviews Organization is one of the few makeup and mineral makeup reviews websites that we have seen that it’s full of affiliate pictures trying to get you to buy other brands on other sites to make a buck like the rest of the makeup and mineral makeup blogs and review sites we’ve been to.

The Mineral Makeup Resource website is another makeup blog site that seems to be getting going, but is sure to be a place for anyone needing quick facts on ingredients, products, brands, reviews, etc.

The Mineral Makeup Company website also has a blog set up, but their main site sells several different brands of mineral makeup, makeup, skin care, and other cosmetics.  They do have off site affiliates to shop, but when offering site only discounts a sign up is worth it.

Rouge is the Proctor and Gamble makeup, skin care, and beauty magazine, it comes free, all you have to do is sign up for mail or newsletter service.  We get it monthly and love it, free makeup coupons too.

The Global Cosmetics Network website just opened their blog.  This site is still in the works, under our ownership as several others are, but we have had a nice buy-out offer, so just might be selling it soon.  But do check it out as we try to keep the blog updated as well as the links for makeup brands around the globe.

Didn’t see alot in the way of Google makeup news, and never mineral makeup news since they stopped using news websites and started using cosmetic blog sites for news.  No offense google, but um?  Blogs news is just women talking, how about in-cosmetics for real cosmetics news   and we do miss the Examiner Mineral Makeup News in the google news.

Whether you want to know what’s going on with MAC Cosmetics, Loreal, Estee Lauder, Boots in the UK, or Covergirl in the US, the above makeup resource websites will have the beauty brand information you need with maybe just a little Celebrity makeup looks and hoards of makeup application advice.

Mineral Makeup Reviews And Products News for December 18th has brought us full circle for the year of 2009.

The bareMinerals, aka Bare Escentuals stock frauds scandal to the news of up and coming FDA Natural Cosmetics manufacturing and distributing regulations being pushed by lobbyists is at the top of the mineral makeup news for 2009.

Lobbyists from the large mineral makeup brands to safe cosmetics claimers are pressing for new FDA laws regarding natural cosmetics manufacturing practices.  If passed, these new natural cosmetics and mineral makeup regulations will include mineral makeup companies manufacturing products, mineral makeup brand distributing other mineral makeup brands products as their own private label.

There has not been a demand by the public to regulate, mineral makeup, natural cosmetics and skin care, but that hasn’t stopped lobbyists causing problems to small natural cosmetics business owners that are mostly women.  For the large mineral makeup brands purchasing from their products from China, Italy, and any other outsourced country cosmetic manufacturing house, the FDA will continue to check incoming makeup products at random, or inspect facilities as they see a need.

Time will only tell where bareMinerals 2nd scandal leaves them, or if new natural cosmetics and mineral makeup manufacturing regulations pass, but it’s sure to be interesting for those involved in the bare mineral makeup phenomena.

Yes our mineral makeup news page is a bit behind and we apologize for that, but we’re sure you all agree that our Breast Cancer Awareness Donation and Sale are more important.  It’s been a very active and busy month, and our mineral makeup blog is not up to par as it usually is.

Mineral Makeup and Makeup Research finds news in a wide variety of makeup and cosmetics companies offering incentive beauty products to buy and a part is donated. (get real, they should donating all the proceeds of that items, not just part, but ok, so they are at least trying?)

A few makeup companies have listings on Sephora, but you’ll be better off to purchase directly from those companies offering donation products, instead of going through the third party Sephora.  Try Estee Lauder, they always have a great Breast Cancer Awareness, as does Avon.
