This season’s spring makeup isn’t just about the usual lavenders, pinks, and corals.  The 2009 spring makeup trends take in every direction and depth of the color wheel. 

Across the board, spring makeup varies from soft and sensual to vibrantly bold beautiful color collections for women of all ages.  For women that shy away from this year’s fuchsias and bright corals, there are the no fear color elements in naturally calming pinks and peaches.  The varying degrees of pigments in spring’s color forecast allow us to wear colors we never before thought possible.  What looks too bright in the package may be sheer and harmonious with any skin or hair color combination when applied.  It seems hard to believe, but trust natures harmonious color schemes and step out of your comfort zone to try something different this spring.  You’ll be pleasantly surprised at the results.

There’s no need to splurge on high cost department store brand makeup if you don’t want to.  Just pop in to your local drug store and see what new makeup colors are on the shelf.  Walgreens always has a great selection of new makeup colors from brands like Almay, L’Oreal, Revlon, or Wet N Wild.  Checking the local internet or Sunday newspaper ads you’ll find most drug stores have buy-one get-one free sales or other great discounts on popular brands.  If you do find yourself at the larger department stores like Nordstrom’s, Dillard’s, or Neiman Marcus, you’ll be happy with the spring makeup from Estee Lauder, Lancôme, Laura Mercier, or Trish McEvoy.

Fair haired gals or women that just aren’t ready for brighter makeup colors will appreciate the new neutral shades of browns, and grays, touched lightly with muted subtle hues of green, blue, purple.  You’ll find these springs neutral eye makeup shades perfect for every day or evening wear.  Blush and lips can be brightened with pinks and peaches.  Maybe even try one of the brighter lip glosses or blushes since they will brighten your entire face with a lovely flushed look.
