Most of these mineral foundation application opinions are from everyday consumers, it’s great they offer their how-to’s, but professional makeup artists are licensed to learn and practice makeup application techniques 24/7.
Makeup artists worldwide have direct answers on how to apply all types of makeup including mineral foundation makeup. With just a few easy steps mineral foundation makeup application will be flawless.
First remember loose powder mineral makeup is manufactured from different cosmetic companies so it will vary in texture, consistency, adhesion, density, and so forth. The less dense a product is the less likely it will be to adhere with one application. Start with a normal mineral makeup foundation powder application method to determine how ingredients look on the skin. Applying mineral powder to the back of a hand is best for new mineral makeup users.
1.     Use a clean makeup sponge and pick up a small amount of product from foundation container lid.
2.     Tap off all excess loose powder on side of container lid. (avoid cross contamination, tap all excess powder into the cosmetic jar lid)
3.     Take foundation sponge and lightly tap mineral foundation from sponge onto back of hand.
4.     Softly sweep makeup sponge over the mineral foundation powder applied to back of hand.
