We here at Mineral Makeup News and Product Reviews wish there was alot better makeup news than the above for this Monday morning, so we’ll keeep monitoring the makeup cosmetics news feeds and hope something worth everyone’s attention comes up.

If you’ve never had a real makeup artist, no we’re not talking the ladies at the department stores, they are not normally licensed makeup artists, they are just counter sales ladies schooled in their direct cosmetic companies products.

We’re talking makeup artists that work on celebrities (we all love Celebrity Makeup Artists Tips), high society clients, women that need to know how to look great and wear that makeup daily to their professional jobs, such as company CEO’s and business executives.

Mineral makeup may be the rage of the century, but loose powder mineral foundation application may be a hassle if the foundation product, makeup sponge, or makeup brush used are incorrect.

Viewing Id bare mineral, and Sheer Cover Infomercials leads consumers to believe there isn’t another process of applying mineral makeup cosmetic foundation powders. However, if the powder foundation applications TV infomercials show were working, women purchasing mineral foundation would not be asking so many questions.
Nearly every makeup forum, blog, and mineral cosmetics company website on the internet has a listing of mineral foundation application tips. Most of these mineral foundation application opinions are from everyday consumers, it’s great they offer their how-to’s, but professional makeup artists are licensed to learn and practice makeup application techniques 24/7.
Makeup artists worldwide have direct answers on how to apply all types of makeup including mineral foundation makeup. With just a few easy steps mineral foundation makeup application will be flawless.
First remember loose powder mineral makeup is manufactured from different cosmetic companies so it will vary in texture, consistency, adhesion, density, and so forth. The less dense a product is the less likely it will be to adhere with one application. Thicker textures with higher pigment levels in mineral makeup products will result in stronger adhesion and longevity. Poor quality mineral foundation ingredients also lead to poor application. This is the same as for mineral blush, eye shadow, or eye liner powder.

The common container for mineral foundation powders is usually a cosmetic sifter jar. These mineral sifter jars are great for several reasons.
1.     Mineral makeup sifters allow the user to tap a small amount of product into the sifter jar lid.
2.     Mineral sifters prevent powder spillage. Prevent a mess
A note of caution; It’s smart to leaving the cosmetic sifter in the jar, tapping only a small amount of loose powder mineral foundation as needed into the cosmetic container lid.
Start with a normal mineral makeup foundation powder application method to determine how ingredients look on the skin. Applying mineral powder to the back of a hand is best for new mineral makeup users.
1.     Use a clean makeup sponge and pick up a small amount of product from foundation container lid.
2.     Tap off all excess loose powder on side of container lid. (avoid cross contamination, tap all excess powder into the cosmetic jar lid)
3.     Take foundation sponge and lightly tap mineral foundation from sponge onto back of hand.
4.     Softly sweep makeup sponge over the mineral foundation powder applied to back of hand.

Those are the first steps in testing the quality, texture, and adhesion of a powder mineral foundation makeup brand.

The mineral powder foundation should be smooth on the back of the hand not blotchy or sheer.

If the mineral foundation powder grabbed then either too much product was applied or the makeup brand may be inadequate. Test the skin area product grabbed to see how thick the powder was applied.  Please note that many women makeup users apply foundation products with a heavy hand; this produces a pasty mask face appearance, not the sought after naturally flawless airbrushes appearance.

Thinning an area where too much mineral foundation product has been applied is easy. Use the back side of the makeup sponge and swirl product out to edges of skin.

When I was younger, late teens, and early 20′s I loved to go makeup shopping for all the cosmetics and makeup brands new colors, cheap makeup was best of course, but I did match my eye colors to my clothes, and had some great looks.  It’s one of the reasons I’m sure Nordstrom hired me on, since I bugged them everyweek for a cosmetic counter job.  It worked out great since Stagelight Cosmetics was my favorite, and full of loose powder colors.  Similar in fact to today’s loose powder mineral makeup eye shadows and the MAC Cosmetics Pigments.

It’s just not that simple, so we’re here to help you find the best mineral makeup information and resources websites.

First is the new Mineral Makeup News website and makeup brands reviews blog.  We’re not sure where their original blog was, but we know their new one is updated often, and makeup companies, mineral makeup companies etc that email them add their information and sales, so this is a handy website.

Makeup News is a relatively new website but their Makeup and Cosmetics News Twitter posts are up to the minute with makeup and cosmetics brands news from around the globe.  Some companies I’d never heard of but they have it all.

Mineral Makeup Reviews Organization is one of the few makeup and mineral makeup reviews websites that we have seen that it’s full of affiliate pictures trying to get you to buy other brands on other sites to make a buck like the rest of the makeup and mineral makeup blogs and review sites we’ve been to.

The Mineral Makeup Resource website is another makeup blog site that seems to be getting going, but is sure to be a place for anyone needing quick facts on ingredients, products, brands, reviews, etc.

The Mineral Makeup Company website also has a blog set up, but their main site sells several different brands of mineral makeup, makeup, skin care, and other cosmetics.  They do have off site affiliates to shop, but when offering site only discounts a sign up is worth it.

Rouge is the Proctor and Gamble makeup, skin care, and beauty magazine, it comes free, all you have to do is sign up for mail or newsletter service.  We get it monthly and love it, free makeup coupons too.

The Global Cosmetics Network website just opened their blog.  This site is still in the works, under our ownership as several others are, but we have had a nice buy-out offer, so just might be selling it soon.  But do check it out as we try to keep the blog updated as well as the links for makeup brands around the globe.

Didn’t see alot in the way of Google makeup news, and never mineral makeup news since they stopped using news websites and started using cosmetic blog sites for news.  No offense google, but um?  Blogs news is just women talking, how about in-cosmetics for real cosmetics news   and we do miss the Examiner Mineral Makeup News in the google news.
