It would be nice of consumers found it important to buy from US companies that manufacture in the US to keep our economy going, but we also understand how easy it is to buy China or other country made makeup products because they are cheaper, but how about safety?  We know you all have seen the big scare on baby products, lead in lipstick etc, and the FDA does have a listing daily of fined cosmetic companies due to hazardous materials and ingredients.  So do be careful and use products that come from the US where the FDA is able to inspect facilities etc.

Mineral Makeup Reviews And Products News for December 18th has brought us full circle for the year of 2009.

The bare mineral, aka bare mineral stock frauds scandal to the news of up and coming FDA Natural Cosmetics manufacturing and distributing regulations being pushed by lobbyists is at the top of the mineral makeup news for 2009.

Lobbyists from the large mineral makeup brands to safe cosmetics claimers are pressing for new FDA laws regarding natural cosmetics manufacturing practices.  If passed, these new natural cosmetics and mineral makeup regulations will include mineral makeup companies manufacturing products, mineral makeup brand distributing other mineral makeup brands products as their own private label.

There has not been a demand by the public to regulate, mineral makeup, natural cosmetics and skin care, but that hasn’t stopped lobbyists causing problems to small natural cosmetics business owners that are mostly women.  For the large mineral makeup brands purchasing from their products from China, Italy, and any other outsourced country cosmetic manufacturing house, the FDA will continue to check incoming makeup products at random, or inspect facilities as they see a need.

Time will only tell where bare mineral 2nd scandal leaves them, or if new natural cosmetics and mineral makeup manufacturing regulations pass, but it’s sure to be interesting for those involved in the bare mineral makeup phenomena.
