Should you change your makeup colors just because it’s spring?

As a makeup artist I get asked quite a bit whether makeup colors should be changed to match a season.  Easy answer, it’s up to you the makeup diva.

When I was younger, late teens, and early 20′s I loved to go makeup shopping for all the cosmetics and makeup brands new colors, cheap makeup was best of course, but I did match my eye colors to my clothes, and had some great looks.  It’s one of the reasons I’m sure Nordstrom hired me on, since I bugged them everyweek for a cosmetic counter job.  It worked out great since Stagelight Cosmetics was my favorite, and full of loose powder colors.  Similar in fact to today’s loose powder mineral makeup eye shadows and the MAC Cosmetics Pigments.

Today when I work with client’s it’s usually pageants, bridal makeup, and business women needing image consultations, which I have been doing for well over 20+ years now.  Thank you Nordstrom and college.
