I searched the Google news this morning and so many people are now getting that they should stay clear of the mineral makeup brands that contain bismuth, bismuth oxycloride, biron, etc. I supposed this is why the bare mineral brand had an interesting year according to Forbes magazine and projected sales volumes etc.

There is some information on web md regarding mineral makeup, and if those that want facts know, stay away from those company that are buying in bulk and reselling under different mineral makeup labels. A main reason is the contamination factor as well as the person responsible for purchasing not knowning for fact what the FDA.gov is requiring and the % of what a cosmetic company can say regarding SPF, etc.

As a makeup artist for over 15 years I’m just amazed the FDA is letting all these so called private label mineral makeup companies operate. They have to know that most know very little about what their ingredients do or why they are being use, or for that matter as I personally found out the majority of these mineral makepu company owners don’t even use the correct INCI and some didn’t know what that was.

We’re all confused as to why some of the makeup and mineral makepu forums and other makeup blogs on the net are not writing what is really going on in the cosmetic industry.

For those that don’t know the FDA.gov and the US Government is right now in the process of passing legislation to shut down the falsely advertised private label logo mineral makeup manufacturing companies, natural skin care and cosmetic companies and any other natural cosmetic company that doesn’t pass inspections that will start at soon as the new laws pass.

Florida has already passed their own natural cosmetics, and cosmetic manufacturing laws and a large number of those false companies or kitchen cosmetic companies closed their doors and more will shortly if they can’t pass their state associated inspections. It may put many cosmetic bulk purchasing and improper cosmetic manufacturing companies out of business. Though shouldn’t they have started started their business’ properly to begin with? Of course they should have.
