How-To Apply Mineral Makeup Powders, Including RAESIN IMAGES Allover, Chiffon, Satin, Strictly Matte, Liner X-treme, Other Everyday Wear Mineral Products. 1. The quickest method is the dry method. If you’re using sample baggies or jars the method will be the same. What you need to remember is that RAESIN IMAGES mineral eye colors are loose powder. If you are not careful with your great new products, spillage is possible. Sifters are in all our products. This is for your safety in case you do knock it over or off your makeup table, and convenience for application. A. Dip natural bristle eye shadow brush into baggie or jar. Gently tap off all extra powder, and lightly apply, by tapping, color to preferred area. B. Tapping off ALL excess powder before application is important. This prevents waste, and prevents powder from migrating everywhere. A couple of tries at this and we’re sure you’ll be a Pro! 2. Foiling is a wet/paste method of application. Kat prefers this method for pictures, weddings, photo ops, due to the fact that foiling brings out all the natural opalescent colors of our mica mineral powders. Very stunning! A. Use the product lid, this way when you are finished the product that remains isn’t wasted and is put back into the jar by lightly tapping when dry. B. With a clean natural hair makeup eye shadow brush, take a small amount of mineral eye powder and swirl in drop of water in the lid. If you have too much water, just add powder until you have a nice small amount with a creamy consistency. C. Using the side of the lid, remove excess, from applicator brush and gently apply to eye area. Color may appear to grab and streak, though as soon as the powder is dry, (seconds of application), blend eye shadow color lightly with a dry brush. Simply GORGEOUS!!! The colors are extreme! 3. If you are using our “Liner X-tremes” You will use the wet method listed above for application with any of our fine makeup taklon brushes. For a more dramatic look you can apply a dry coat of mineral eye color in the same shade or another shade directly on top of your wet eyeliner or slightly above that line when it dries. Kat always applies a light liner shade of pearl white or pale yellow to the inner ¼ of the eyelid on our models or studio clients. This method really brings out the whites eyes. If you are having a day where you feel like you look tired, try light pale lavender, or yellow matte or lightly shimmery shadow for an instant pick me up! 4. Also remember that if you like a mineral color, don’t just stop at using it on your eyes or cheeks. Most of our minerals can be used on any part of your body. (Except where noted) 5. Our lip colors also make great, healthy cheek colors. With ingredients such as shea butter, cocoa butter, macadamia nut oil, just to name a few. 6. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, or would like Kat to custom formulate a color for you, please email her with your requests or send a sample to us via snail mail. Custom blends do take a bit longer, as Kat works on them at no charge to you in her off time. A great service to a lot of customers who’ve had her blend for special events to match clothing for weddings, graduations, pageants, and even sporting events. More ways to apply mineral makeup.
